We’re THRILLED to share that a member of the talego team Josh is now officially certified Carbon Literate! 🎉
If you’re new to the initiative, you might be wondering… What exactly is Carbon Literacy?
Carbon Literacy® is the knowledge and awareness of climate change and how our everyday actions impact the planet. The term has grown beyond academic and casual use – it's now championed by The Carbon Literacy Project and represents a movement toward meaningful climate education and action.
A person who completes a full day of accredited Carbon Literacy training can be certified as Carbon Literate. This means they have the tools and understanding needed to drive real change in how we live, work, and make decisions in response to climate challenges.
There are also wider opportunities for businesses and educators to get involved:
This milestone isn’t just a feel-good badge – it’s proof of our mission in action.
At Talego, we’re here to power purpose-driven tech businesses, from HealthTech to EnviroTech to FemTech and beyond. And we don’t just talk the talk – we’re actively integrating sustainable thinking into how we recruit, partner, and operate.
We believe that recruitment can be a lever for real change – helping build teams that are not only technically excellent but aligned with the values that will shape a better tomorrow.
After completing an interactive, hands-on workshop with other organisations across the UK – all united by a shared mission to reduce their carbon impact and embed sustainability into their business – Josh didn’t stop there.
He’s since spent time running internal workshops for the rest of the Talego team, making sure that the insights and actions from the session aren’t just left in the training room, but are now part of our everyday culture and decision-making.
Becoming Carbon Literate is just one part of a much bigger journey:
✔️ Certified or not, our commitment to the planet remains strong.
✔️ In 2025 and beyond, you’ll continue to see our pledges in action – from sustainable partnerships to greener business practices.
✔️ We’re just getting started.
A massive shoutout to Ellie Powell, Manchester Digital, and Auto Trader UK for the inspiring workshop that helped us reach this point. 🙌
We’re proud of Josh and proud to be building a company where sustainability isn’t an afterthought – it’s part of the blueprint.
