Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 2 days in-office, 3 days remote) Salary of up to £65k + perks

About the Opportunity

This is a newly established, high-impact role sitting at the core of global IT operations and vendor strategy. As IT Vendor Manager, you’ll drive the performance, value, and compliance of a broad supplier ecosystem, spanning software, infrastructure, cloud services, and more.

You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders and key business units across Technology, Procurement, Finance, and Risk to ensure vendors are aligned to both strategic goals and operational excellence. This is a career-defining chance to shape a vendor function that’s built for scale, security, and agility.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee the full lifecycle of IT vendor relationships from onboarding and contract negotiation to performance tracking and renewal.
• Lead strategic supplier reviews and regular governance meetings (SLAs, QBRs, risk assessments).
• Ensure commercial engagements meet internal sourcing policies, risk appetite, and procurement standards.
• Partner with Technology leaders to evaluate vendor delivery against service expectations and change roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive vendor landscape view services delivered, dependencies, risks, and compliance coverage.
• Track vendor-related spend across all categories and locations, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Identify and deliver cost efficiencies, renegotiation opportunities, and consolidation strategies.
• Drive adherence to financial plans, reporting on performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Support due diligence, vendor audits, and regulatory compliance efforts (e.g., GDPR, PCI).
• Embed ESG and sustainability principles into sourcing decisions and partner selection.
• Build and coach a high-performing vendor management team to deliver consistently and collaboratively.
• Advocate for best-in-class vendor governance and relationship management practices across the organisation.


What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrable experience managing diverse, large-scale IT vendor portfolios (ideally across cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, and enterprise software).
• Proven knowledge of procurement processes, vendor contracting, and IT sourcing strategy.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate value-for-money across complex vendor relationships.
• Skilled in performance management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, CIPS, and relevant compliance regimes.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications in procurement, vendor management, or IT service delivery are a strong plus.
• Experience working within a regulated or data-sensitive environment (e.g., healthcare, financial services) is advantageous.
