After expanding across the UK and laying firm plans to grow in the US and beyond, the team has doubled in size over the past year (from 20 to 40) and is now looking ahead to the future with some key hires to make... that's where you come in.

The Opportunity

Join a collaborative, growing engineering team where your ideas matter. You’ll focus purely on back-end development (no full stack!) and help shape a reliable, business-critical product used every day.

• Salary: £55k to £65k (DOE)
• Experience: 3 years back-end Ruby
• Tech: Ruby, PostgreSQL, AWS (nice to have)
• Location: Remote first with 1–2 monthly team days in Manchester

Your Day-to-Day

• Design, build and maintain clean, efficient Ruby code.
• Write automated tests to ensure reliability.
• Pair program, review code and share knowledge.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services.
• Monitor, deploy and help keep things running smoothly.

You’ll Bring

• Solid Ruby programming skills (Rails a bonus).
• Around 3 years’ experience in back-end dev.
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MongoDB).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, RSpec.
• Understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• AWS, Docker or Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
• A collaborative mindset and good communication.
